Kampung Kranggan is a Sundanese village located in Jatirangga Village, Jatisampurna District, Bekasi City, West Java. This village still upholds customs and traditions and preserves vernacular Sundanese houses, which have been passed down from generation to generation. The massive modern development in Bekasi City has become a threat to the existence of vernacular houses in Kampung Kranggan. This is the main reason that encouraged us to carry out VERNADOC activities in order to preserve building knowledge in Kampung Kranggan to not become extinct.
